ST. GEORGE, Utah (ABC4 Utah) — Hundreds of family, friends and co-workers gathered in St. George to honor Kristy Manzanares. Police say she had been murdered by her husband on an Alaskan cruise boat. Cars lined the streets of downtown St. George through the service. Speakers including her three brothers shared memories of Kristy describing her as a “super mother, a best friend and a role model.” Kristy was also portrayed as having “an infectious smile and sweet soul.” “She had been the chairperson for apps and socials which completely clarifies who she had been. She was very social and fun, always had a smile,” said Jo-Ann Geer, Kristy’s co-worker and friend. “One of the funniest, nicest people I have ever had the opportunity to know but I believe anyone, anyone that Kristy came in contact with she became friends with everyone and everyone was blessed to be her friend,” said Kristy’s close friend, Holly Yocom, close friend of Kristy. A second funeral service for Kristy is going to be held on Saturday in Price, August 5a t the East Carbon City Cemetery. Kristy’s husband, Kenneth Manzanares stays behind bars in Juneau, Alaska.
